This summer while we were having a few drinks on the dock in Avalon, Amy said to me “Your still going to shoot my wedding right?”… Of course Austin and I were already planning on this wedding and we were already brainstorming ideas for a winter wedding near the holidays. We had been looking forward to this wedding because I knew how happy Amy has been since she met Shane. It felt like a blink of the eye from the summer when we were sitting and talking about the wedding and future plans to the day of the wedding. Up until that day, the weather had been fairly neutral for December, but on their wedding day it was incredibly cold and they still braved it out for some gorgeous pics. Amy and Shane read letters that they had written to each other before their first look which we shot on their rooftop balcony in Philadelphia. The bridal party were such good sports about the cold as well, and it was so worth it for the shots we were able to get in some sunset light. Because the sun goes down so early in December, we were able to do some nighttime shots which is always fun for Austin and I to be able to get creative with the lighting while capturing some great moments. Everything went perfect that day, and Amy and Shane sure know how to throw a party. Its been a while since we have had a dance floor that was that packed, but as soon as the dancefloor opened it was packed until the very last song of the night. The last song “All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey was the perfect way to end such a great day right before the holidays. Thank you to Amy and Shane for choosing us to be part of your amazing day! We look forward to the next chapter!
